2005

17 Years of Video

Dakota bought his first camera at 10 years old after 3 years of shoveling snow for neighbors.

2011

First Pro Contract

Dakota's first professional video gig was at 16. A defense contractor was seeking an editor to composite footage comparing new technology to current technology so the executive leadership team could see the performance. After this, Dakota was focused on making video his career.

2013 - 2014

Film Written and Kickstarted

Dakota wrote a 30-minute short film with a mission of suicide prevention and mental illness awareness. After raising a budget through Kickstarter and some face-to-face conversations, he put together a team and produced the film with rented gear, working more than 75 hours across 5 consecutive days. The film was received well, and Dakota sought to create more content that could positively impact people.

2014

No Silence Media Launched

After the film's launch, Dakota Co-Founded No Silence Media with the mission, "Make noise. Be change." The goal was to create content for local businesses and use the revenue to fund video production for non-profit organizations, so they didn't need to divert funding away from their programming or missions. Along the way, Dakota realized small businesses often struggled to use video effectively and incorporate it into their overall marketing strategy. NSM began to fill the gaps, and clients found success. Over the next several years, No Silence Media's service area grew far beyond the state of New Hampshire to include most major cities in the United States.

2016

Along with success in viewership, we found that our content performed well financially. A client came to us after launching a Kickstarter campaign that had failed to meet its funding goal. After consulting with our team, we made them a product demo video. They launched another campaign and surpassed their goal of $30,000 to reach over $90,000 in funding.

2017

NSM Offers Brand Identity Design

To further enhance the client experience, NSM started offering brand identity development and design to clients starting new ventures and established organizations looking for a rebrand. This experience with brand design offers Dakota an inside edge on integrating video and brand identity.

2021

NSM's Video Division Rebrands

After several years of growth in events, SaaS, electronics, and other industries, Dakota sought to improve the efficacy of No Silence Media's world change programs. To enable NSM to pursue its missions and market more effectively, the commercial video division of NSM was separated and rebranded to Dak. This nickname better represents the personal service and level of dedication towards video that Dakota aims to provide to you.
